What is the Musée d’Art Vendée Miniature?

This museum, located in the heart of the town of Brétignolles-sur-mer, invites you to discover the Vendée of yesteryear. Take a leap back in time, and discover the daily life of a rural village at the beginning of the 20th century through 1/10 scale models. The museum houses 350 m² of models built over 16 years by a couple with a passion for model making.

During your visit, admire the 3-meter-high church, the perfect reconstruction of the village and its alleyways, the presentation of the traditions and trades of yesteryear, and the little train that weaves its way between the buildings. These incredible models have made this small village the most beautiful miniature village in France!

Practical information about your visit

It takes about an hour to visit the entire museum. When you arrive at the museum, you can park free of charge in the parking lot. You can also come by bike. The park is accessible to people with reduced mobility.

If you’re feeling a bit peckish, you can picnic in the picnic area provided. Please note that pets are not allowed inside the museum.
